Taco Bowl Night

A co-worker went out for lunch today. At 2pm. I had eaten mine at 11am. She went to Taco Bell. The office smelled so good.

I did the only reasonable thing to do, I went to the grocery store, picked up a few things, then went home to make Taco bowls. A few trips to blog land and I found my preferred method - scrunched up tin foil for shaping.

I tried pinching a few into the tin foil for better shape as they didn't look to be shaping up too well.
I think the fifteen minutes at 375 advised was a tad too much, but the pinching of the tin foil seemed to work quite well.
Toby enjoyed them so much, he ate three of them. Unlike our regular Tacos, he actually ate the contents as well. Usually he just picks the stuff out and starts eating the shell.
Isn't it a thing of beauty - of course if anyone wants to buy me a better camera it will look even better.
Ah, there we go, just needed a little bit of perspective.
Next time I will use larger wraps and maybe try 11 minutes instead of 15. They were rather bland too so maybe Salsa needs to be purchased for the next Taco Bowl Night.

One million degrees and a month

It has been exactly one month since I last posted here. In that time I have discovered new blogs that I enjoy reading, posted many times on GeekMom and potty trained a two year old. I have been on a camping trip and swum in various pools, I have nearly over heated on several occasions and I have finished reading a book. I scored a free Zoku machine to review for GeekMom and obsessed with making Juice popsicles, and I pre-ordered Birnbaums guide to Walt Disney World 2013. I started taking Charlie to physical therapy and realised that I was never going to lose my baby weight as I have neither begun to exercise nor changed my diet and he is four months old already. I have decided to write several non fiction travel books about New England and have a publisher in mind with whom I have contacts, but no solid ground yet. I have decided that Scrapbooking is wonderful but is one of the hobbies that can be dabbled with a few times a year until the boys start going on Boy Scout trips, then it's all about the Scrapbook. I have begun my eighth year in my job and am enjoying it once more after a period of not so much. I have also poisoned something in the fridge and shan't be telling Ben what. Joking, I just finished reading Jenny Lawson's book and my sense of humour is somewhat skewed. Today I met a man in the parking lot who is from the same town in England that I went to high school in - truly it is a small world.

And now I'm back on the horse.
