In Search of Breakfast Pizza

Is it just a Maine thing or is this ubiquitous across America? I had never heard of Breakfast pizza before moving over here, but Husby loves it. The standard gas station kind seems to be the best one. Some kind of meat, with scrambled-like eggs and shredded cheese. Try as he may Husby can't quite get it right at home. Last night I tried an internet find, using crescent rolls as the base. Not quite what we were expecting, not quite breakfast pizza, but very good. We determined that we finally had the ratio of cheese to egg correct, that Bacon would be much more flavorful than Ham, and that crescent rolls make a great casserole base, but not a good pizza base.

Next step - Pizza dough with the same topping as last night. Now if we could only get Toby to eat it!
