Leaving Maine earlier this week, I found myself in a rather sleepy state, so I pulled into the Kennebunk plaza and headed straight for Starbucks. I've been seeing ads for these Christmassy drinks all week and felt that the Peppermint Mocha would hit the spot. I paid five dollars for that sucker.
It sucked.
It was seriously vile. Couldn't taste the coffee, the mocha part was bitter, the peppermint part was too diluted to be effective. Yuckers.
Leaving Boston a few hours later, I poured five dollars worth of bad coffee onto the street underneath the Tobin bridge.
I don't know what made me feel more grown up. Buying a five dollar cup of coffee, throwing away a five dollar cup of coffee, or not feeling guilty for having thrown away a five dollar cup of coffee.

I often throw away Starbucks coffee .they make it so hit and miss. I have decided now though that I try it before i leave the store and if its not to my liking, they can make it again.
