What I wore - the "I feel F-A-T" week

the pleated poppy blog
This is how I would have chosen to spend this week - Panda PJ's - Nick and Nora - two sizes too big!
I lost my babyweight, this is true, did I lose my babyshape? No way Jose!

I have this belly where once there was no belly, I have not made friends with it, I do not like it, I tolerate it.

And then I eat another cookie and pop in The West Wing instead of Windsor Pilates.

With Husby sick recently there has been an abundance of cheese, eggs and chocolate in my diet,

I have no one to blame but myself. At 15 months I can't even blame Toby anymore. So this week began with me feeling very fat and here's where it went...

Wednesday 8 - I feel fat

Dress - Made by mum
Tights - Walsall Market
Polo Neck - Gap circa 2003
Shoes - Asda
Toby - Circa 2009

Thursday 9 - I still feel fat
Hint of Christmas - The go to Red Polo neck
Skirt - From my aunt's hand me down black suit
Turtleneck (I give in) - Gap
Vest - Eddie Bauer
Tights - Kohl's - oh to find a pair that actually fit properly
Shoes - George
Giraffe Pin - Home made

Friday - 10 - Yup still fat!
Hint of Christmas - D'uh
Trousers - Eddie Bauer
Socks - Walsall Market
Shirt - $2 Target find
Cardigan - LL Bean

MONDAY - 13 - weekend weight added
Hint of Christmas - Red again!
Skirt - Filene's

Red Sweater - From my Nan
Necklace - Jane Norman

TUESDAY - 14 - Oh the cookies
Hint of Christmas - Chickadee pin from Vermont
Sweater - From Nan again
Trousers - J Crew
Shoes - LL Bean

And since it's Maine and I obviously don't go outside just like this anymore here we have what I wore outside:
Hat - unknown
Scarf - made by me - Lion Brand Homespun
Coat - Marks and Spencers circa 2008
Gloves - Target Dollar Spot - this might be why I have cracked fingertips right now!

This will give way to the LL Bean full length down comforter coat very shortly.

  2. Oh! You do not look fat! You and your baby are adorable, and Friday's outfit is my favorite!

  3. Tis the season we all feel fat. And layering for the cold certainly doesn't help matters. Can't wait for Spring!

  5. I'm so sad that I can relate to this post. My little guy is 18 mths old and I'm really struggling with losing the last 10 lbs of baby weight. It was so much easier with my first baby. I know it's my own fault. I love your statement, "I have not made friends with it." in regards to your belly. It had me laughing! By the way, I don't think you look fat at all :)
