The Sentimental Side of things

Two posts in one day, my goodness.

I was cleaning the kitchen in preparation for my Dad's arrival this week and because it was pretty gross, when I noticed something on my wall and was reminded that it was Sentimental Sunday over at Sit, Relax and Read. Funny how that's the whole point, to notice the things in our homes that evoke memories.

So this week I have a corner of my kitchen for you. These are the plates that Husby and I used on our wedding day.
His mum found them in an Antiques Store, and while everyone else feasted on Gladware we used fine china and silverware.

My mum used to have plates hanging in our house when I was younger, having these in my home makes me feel very grown up (no one say anything about the fact that I turn 30 next year and have plates to remind me I'm a grown up!)

We didn't hang them for a very long time because I was worried about breaking them but it turns out that stuff doesn't really matter and it's the marriage I love. So I hung them and they've survived three moves now.

Can't wait to see what everyone else is doing over at Cha Cha's.
