What I Wore Wednesday Take 2!

Woo-Hoo! I am so excited for this week's "What I Wore Wednesday" that I started this entry last Wednesday so that I could add to it everyday!

I'm a Pleated Poppy geek!

Poppy
So this is what I was wearing when I decided this was the most awesome blog idea since the house party.Dress - Target from two years ago.
Crocs - from J L Coombs in Freeport Maine, I live in these but am trying to ween myself away this year for shoes that are better for my feet.

And this is what I changed into after Toby went to bed when I was heading to a committee meeting at Church. I wasn't going to change but this is Maine and it was 90 degress and humid. The hair came down again after about five minutes, for once in my life I am loving my long hair!Capris - unknown, another hand me down from my wonderful clothing obsessed aunt!
Shirt - from an English Market courtesy of my mother, I think it had PJ Pants with it
Fit Flops - From Macy's last year, so comfy even if they don't tone like they claim too!

On Thursday I got up early to make Buttermilk Bread for Husby and this is what I like to wear when pottering about the house. It's a Kaftan my mum used to wear when I was little. I think they got it on a trip to Istanbul. My Dad was so sad on the day mum mailed it to me even though it had been years since she wore it.

But since I can't wear that to work I changed into thisDress - Marks and Spencers (England) Funny Story, I was determined to buy a pretty dress after my pregnancy and so two months ago I found this. It fit like a dream! A month later when I wore it for the first time it was too big! I had deflated. Oh well it fits enough!
Shoes - Kohls from years ago, doesn't quite match but I do love them
Purse - From JC Penneys. Part of my drive to reduce my purse size so I don't damage my back!
Baby - a cute accessory to any outfit. After dropping this accessory off at daycare I donned a triple strand of pearls made for me by my wonderful friend Amanda for her wedding day (I was matron of honour)

On Friday I went to pick my mum up at the airport so I needed comfort at work and in the car.
Dress - Material Objects - a quirky and vintage clothing store in Maine
Leggings - the Gap - they fit very badly on my tummy
Purse - A repeat from yesterday

On Saturday it was another drive to Massachusetts, this time for a Graduation/Birthday party. Normally I would don a dress for such an occasion (and I wish I had) but the practical mummy in me thought shorts and a new shirt would be better for Toby chasin' and so...Shirt - from J Crew - another gift from my stylish friend Amanda
Shorts - my Summer Staple from LLBean, so new they've only been washed once!
Shoes - from Kohl's in 2007. I love them. I had a blouse that matched them perfectly which got ruined in this year's basement flood (a red dress that wasn't very forgiving claimed many nice things)
Necklace - stolen from my mum's collection, she's a tad necklace obsessed.

You don't want to see Sunday. Sunday we had a Lobster bake at church in the afternoon and then a cook out at our house. It was a hot hot day and I got overheated again. I get sun stroke very very easily. It was not a pretty day though I did wear a new dress and a new polka dotted shirt. However the heat wiped out my brain and I took no pictures that day! Ah well, just imagine me looking fabulous and I'll pretend it's true!

I lied, we took a picture before we went out, I'm hiding behind my gorgeous son but you can see that despite the monstrous heat I started out well!

Monday and back to work. A relaxing shower rather than one in which legs are shaved leads to either my long blue linen skirt or my black capris!Shirt - from Asda in England (they are owned by Walmart)
Pants - another hand me down from a fabulously dressed Aunt
Shoes - from Asda in England - the same shopping trip actually
Jewelery - the same stolen necklace - Mwaaa Haaaa Haaaa - though she did offer me a choice of three others this morning!!!

Of course in the evening I had to change for a trip to Walmart with mum. This is the second of two shirts as Toby decided he needed to eat the other one!
Pants - capris from last Wednesday and my loving aunt
Blue Ribbed Tank - from J Crew - a have a drawful of these from Amanda who has worked at the Freeport outlet for years now and always buys the nicest gifts and lets me in on the best sales
Mary Jane Crocs - I hated the crocs phenomena but I succumbed when they came out with a line of Mary Janes. J L Coombs in Freeport.

Tuesday was a hectic morning and yet I still somehow managed some time on my new swing in the garden, ah the good life.Boots - From Lands End Kids - the only wellies that fit my monstrous calves. The kids shoes at Lands End get two sixes bigger than even my puny size six feet, go ahead look, it will change your world.
Skirt - My new favourite thing in the world. Husby picked it out for me in LL Bean a few weeks ago when I couldn't decide between this and three others. I am so glad he picked this one. I love Navy, Pink and Yellow and so having a skirt with all three makes me so happy, oh and IT HAS POCKETS! Love dresses and skirts with pockets!
Shirt - bought from Target two days after the skirt purchase for a mere $2. It is incredibly soft and I wish I had more like it.
Necklace - Can you see it? It's a watch! My Best Friend in England and I have been friends for 24 years, her mum saw this a few weeks ago and needed to get it for somebody and it was unanimously agreed that it was a me thing! I love it, unfortunately so does Toby!
I'm going to end with this next picture because it's my favourite and just happens to be the last day of the fashion week! Or is that tomorrow? Help me Pleated Poppy!
Shoes - I switched into my Black flats from Asda again today for work. What can I say I'm a conformist! No wellies at work :-(

Happy What I Wore Wednesday Day everybody!
